Our Institute needs you – Dry Cargo Chartering

The Institute relies on a network of examiners, assessors and tutors to support its education and qualification programme and we are grateful to the Members and Fellows who use their professional expertise to support the next generation of students.

Due to a retirement we are currently seeking an examiner/assessor in Dry Cargo Chartering. The work involves supporting the lead examiner and subject team in the examinations cycle: from question paper creation through to marking and assessment of completed exam scripts for both the November and May exam sessions every academic year.

The role does come with modest remuneration to recognise work undertaken on an invoiced basis, not as an employee of the Institute. Most if not all examiners manage the workload alongside work and other responsibilities, indeed one of the key strengths of the Institute is the relevance of its education to the workplace so interest from active or recent practitioners is actively encouraged. Familiarity with the Institute’s education systems is also a plus.
