ICS Canada webinar – Crewing Crisis

Since the coronavirus crisis began, as many as 1 in 6 of the 1 million crew on 60,000 cargo ships at sea have been marooned. Crew changes were suspended in March 2020 as a short-term solution to avoid disruption to the supply system that transport about 90% of global trade by volume, from food and medical goods, to energy and raw materials.

ICS Canada arranged webinar with ITF representative Peter Lahay to discuss solutions for the crewing crisis. Webinar was attended by 52 people.
