ICS Canada General Annual Meeting

On June 29th 2019 ICS Canada Branch held Annual General Meeting in Vancouver, BC.

Chair of the Board, Mr. Kay Afghahi, started meeting with Annual Report where he outlined Branch activities and achievements for the past year as well as provided updates from the ICS Head Office. Chair’s Annual Report was followed by presentation of the internal auditors, who concluded that Canada Branch maintains solid financial status and increased positive balance on the account statements for the past year. Student Liaison, Website Administrator, and East Coast Representative informed Membership about examinations, number of students taken exams last year, events held on the East Coast and renovated website of the Canada Branch.

Board of Directors is working on the the next Annual Dry Bulk Conference in Vancouver, BC, what already became a signature event of the ICS Canada. Also next luncheon seminar is planned for September. The topic and date will be soon advertised.

Board of Directors welcomed two new members: Mrs. Galina Belokopytova and Mr. Stephen Pine.

AGM was followed by traditional pub night at the Mahony and Sons.
